Ingredients:
- 2 slices (56g) whole grain or sprouted grain bread
- 2 tbsp (32g) natural creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 medium (113g) ripe banana, sliced
- 1 tsp (5ml) honey or pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp (0.5g) ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp (5g) chia seeds or hemp hearts
Instructions:
- Toast the bread slices until they reach a mahogany-colored hue and a shattering crust. If using an air fryer, toast at 400°F (200°C) for 2-3 minutes per side.
- While the toast is still hot, immediately spread 1 tbsp (16g) of peanut butter across each slice so the residual heat softens the butter.
- Layer the banana slices evenly across the peanut butter spread.
- Drizzle the honey in a zig-zag pattern over the fruit, then finish with a dusting of cinnamon and a sprinkle of chia seeds.
