Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Combine the cranberries, honey, bourbon, and orange juice in a medium saucepan.
- Stir in the orange zest, cinnamon, and salt.
- Turn the heat to medium-high, stirring occasionally to ensure the honey dissolves completely.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer.
- Simmer for 8 to 12 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce transitions to a deep mahogany hue.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the sauce sit for 10 minutes to allow the pectin to set and thicken.
