Ingredients:
- 3 Large Ripe Hass Avocados
- 1/2 Medium Red Onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped including tender stems
- 2 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Jalapeño pepper, de-seeded and minced
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
Instructions:
- In a non-reactive mixing bowl, combine the finely diced red onion, minced jalapeño, sea salt, and minced garlic.
- Use the back of a fork to lightly press these ingredients into the bottom of the bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes to allow osmosis to draw out essential oils.
- Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into the bowl with the onion mixture.
- Add the lime juice, cilantro, black pepper, and cumin.
- Using a sturdy fork, mash the avocados into the aromatics. Maintain small pockets of un-mashed fruit for an artisanal texture.
- Use a silicone spatula to gently fold the mixture together until well combined. Serve immediately.
