Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, whisking constantly to ensure spices integrate and do not clump.
  2. Once the milk begins to steam, whisk in the coconut oil and maple syrup. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes until the liquid turns a deep, vibrant gold.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract at the very end to preserve its aromatic oils.
  4. Place a fine-mesh strainer over two mugs and pour the mixture through to remove any spice clumps or residue.
