Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into 1-inch strips
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken strips with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl or directly in a 9x13 inch baking dish, whisk together the heavy cream, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and nutmeg.
- Pour the white sauce mixture into the bottom of the baking dish, spreading it evenly, then stir the broccoli florets into the sauce.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken strips in a single layer on top of the sauce.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the chicken.
- Bake for 20 minutes; use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
