Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) frozen strawberries
  • 1 medium (120g) frozen banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup (240ml) nonfat milk
  • 1 tbsp (12g) turbinado sugar
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla protein powder

Instructions:

  1. Load the blender ingredients in the following order to ensure a smooth vortex: first the nonfat milk, then the turbinado sugar and vanilla protein powder, and finally the frozen strawberries and banana on top.
  2. Start the blender on the lowest setting and quickly ramp up to high. Blend for 45–60 seconds until the color shifts from streaky pink to a consistent, pale, velvety rose.
  3. Stop the blender and check for frozen chunks with a spatula. If too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon (15ml) at a time. If too thin, add 2-3 more frozen strawberry halves and blend again until it reaches a thick, spoonable consistency.
